A Proper Goodbye

What is a pauper’s funeral and what would it be like to die without having anyone to

remember you, or put flowers on your grave? These are the questions that move Rat and

Tamara to solve the mystery of ‘Greeting Card Lou’s unmarked grave. Greeting Card Lou is

known only as a local eccentric with a passion for collecting and keeping other people’s

greeting cards. Why doesn’t anybody seem to know more about her or the circumstances of

her death?

Rat and Tamara both know what it is like to miss someone who is gone. Rat has grown up

without a dad and Tamara hardly ever gets to see her mum. The two are best friends and

hang out together at the local cemetery. Eventually it is here, where the dead are buried, that

Rat and Tamara find a way to bring together the living.

At heart this is an engaging and moving story about two friends’ secret mission of

compassion and an emotional and heart-warming tale of friendship, family, and never giving

up!
