Freddy Hobbs is a teenager with a unique gift. So far, he has successfully managed to suppress it, until circumstances take him from his home in Derbyshire and put him into contact with the British Household Cavalry in the heart of Central London.

Victoriana: Alpha mare and leader of 200 horses of the Household Cavalry. Day to day running of her regiment has to take a back seat when news emerges that the entire Household Brigade is under great threat.

Freddy Hobbs: A very reluctant hero. As a child he could never understand why grown ups couldn’t see the small winged horses. Freddy was 16 years old when he first heard voices.

Pegusinni: Small winged horses, normally invisible to the human eye. The first sighting if them circling over Hyde Park should have been a warning of things to come.
