A message from the author
Hello, I’m Mandy Dahesh.
I have been in practice as a natural holistic therapist for over 25 years. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
With natural methods and natural products I have helped thousands of people with a wide range of physical and mental conditions. Most importantly, I helped them take charge of their own health and lifestyle, to find personal pathways to become and to remain healthy and happy.
I would like to help even more people to achieve this, which is why I wrote a book called True Health Harmony. It draws on knowledge which is hundreds of years old, which was first passed to through my childhood roots in Persia. I reinforced this by studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and working alongside different medical practitioners.
The title almost says it all. The body and the mind are one system and for true health, each part of that system has to be in harmony within itself and with each other part. That harmony arrives when we balance all of the basic energy flows within ourselves. Time and time again, I saw clients whose problems were caused by some kind of imbalance, and I showed them how to overcome this and resist it in the future.
That is the purpose of this book. I have set out the principles of maintaining a healthy balance of energy flows. I have given detailed advice on diet and nutrition and, when necessary, detoxification to achieve this. I have shared dozens of health-giving recipes which have also proved popular and tasty. I have given detailed advice on the digestive system and two of the commonest sets of problems which clients have brought to me: allergies, including hayfever, and arthritic conditions, including gout. I offer a range of complementary remedies to conventional medicine.
But above all True Health Harmony tells people that they never have to accept persistent pain or unhappiness from everyday conditions. They always have the power to live differently and make better choices.
