Jews in Uniform

Although this book features a very small sample of those that served and some who gave their lives, it shows that the Jewish community participated in every aspect of the war effort - from front-line service in the Army, Navy and Air Force to the Fire and Ambulance Services, the Security Services, the Civil Defence and ARP, the Land Army, the Home Guard and even bus drivers. There are over 100 contributors each featuring a restored photograph of them in uniform accompanied by a brief biography of their war-time experiences plus some details of their lives before and after the war.
