Lessons from the Heron: Poems in North Mayo

John Poole was born in North Yorkshire, and graduated from Oxford University before following a long career in teaching. As Richard Mollowen, he has written the memoirs “Dangling with Alligators” and “Captain Kamper and the Burst of Flame”, both with Skrallkit publishing and available through YPD books and other online outlets. He has inhabited North Mayo, on and off, for the last twenty- odd years, and hopes to be able to keep doing so. He lives with his resilient partner, and has three daughters and three grandchildren.
