A Very Small Collection of Very Short Stories

Paddy Buckley, the author of this ‘very small collection of very short stories’ was born in Brighton, well, Hove actually, in 1943. After leaving his grammar school at 16 he began training as an accountant but adventure called and he ran away to air joining the Royal Air Force.

After a 35-year career, retiring as a wing commander, he and his wife Lorraine (herself ex-WRAF) ran a smallholding in Norfolk for twelve years during which Paddy also spent seven years as the vocalist with a Norwich-based swing band.

He and Lorraine moved to Dorset in 2015 to be nearer family, especially their four grandchildren.

For ten years he was a National Trust guide at Thomas Hardy’s Cottage and is now, after nearly six years of study, in the final stages of acquiring an Open University degree in History.

More writing in the future? Perhaps. Even a historical novel, who knows.
