Developing Effective Practice for Swimming Teachers

This book is targeted at supporting the technical content for candidates learning to teach swimming at Levels 1, 2 and 3 for programmes leading to Swim England Qualifications and Safety Training Awards.

This book is designed for new, inexperienced, experienced swimming teachers and school teachers to help them develop their teaching swimming practice, making the sessions structured, more interesting, and more fun. We focus on the 'what' is and 'how to' teach competitive strokes, skills and the art of teaching non-swimmers. The book also acts as a reference for qualified school teachers (both specialists and non-specialists).
